"Boxing Day" has been selected for the Brisbane International Film Festival (2 - 12 August 2007), Perth International Film Festival ( Luna SX, Sunday 15 July, 5pm ) and the Melbourne International Film Festival (Saturday, 28 July 2007 and Friday, 10 August 2007).
Despite Sydney's wild weather and storm warnings, "Boxing Day" had a sold out screening at the Sydney International Film Festival last night. Many members of the audience stayed after the film for a Q&A with director, Kriv Stenders, and co-writer/lead actor, Richard Green.
Smoking Gun Productions has been appointed to produce the three South Australian documentaries and website component for the Generation Y series. Generation Y is a SAFC, ScreenWest and SBS Independent documentary initiative and it will screen on SBS TV in July 2008.
The South Australian half hour documentaries that have been selected for production as part of the Generation Y documentary series initiative are:

Boxing Day was officially invited to the 2007 Sydney Film Festival today. The Sydney Film Festival will be held between 8 and 24 June 2007.

The second screening of Boxing Day at the 2007 Adelaide Film Festival sold out two days before the screening.
Boxing Day had its World Premiere last night at the 2007 Adelaide Film Festival. The screening was a sell out and was introduced by South Australian Premiere, Mike Rann.
Boxing Day received two international award nominations at the Festival – the inaugural Natuzzi International Award for Best Feature Film and the FIPRESCI (The International Federation of Film Critics) Award at the 2007 Adelaide Film Festival. It is the only Australian film to be nominated for both awards.
